Named after a very good friend — the kind you voice message daily — the Polly Stool was born from a fascination with a certain kind of femininity.
The Polly stool is inspired by film and imagery of women sitting at dressing tables, fluffing their hair and applying their makeup. The first incarnation was for my own bedroom when I decided to give it a dramatic, very feminine makeover, and now it’s available to you, for any room.
The Polly Stool is manufactured entirely in Melbourne with the talented hands of three independent makers.

Named after a very good friend — the kind you voice message daily — the Polly Stool was born from a fascination with a certain kind of femininity. The kind seen in old films and photographs; women at dressing tables, unhurried, fluffing their hair and applying their makeup with intention. First made for Kelly’s own bedroom during a dramatic, deeply personal makeover, the Polly Stool is now available in three colourways, for any room that deserves it.
I couldn’t find a stool I liked either, or bedding that wasn’t plain, or even worse, not plain but very fashionable or on trend. I developed such frustration, I made them myself, and now they’re available not only for me, but for all the people like Polly and I, who want to lean in and have a life surrounded by beauty.
